Candy Apple Card

Our good friend Diane sent Allen a candy apple for his birthday. It was one of those apples that is covered in carmel, drizzled with chocolate, & sprinkled with nuts. The perfect combo in candy land in my opinion. I needed a thank you card for her and this was perfect. The apple is from the Hello Kitty cart, I cut 2 and used my MS drippy goo punch on the carmel colored one. A popsicle stick, a treat bag leftover from Halloween, a tag and I'm done.

1 hour Challenge Recipe Book

Over at the Cricut Message Board, on the 1 Hour Challenge thread, my crafty friends and I have been exchanging recipes. We make layouts of the recipes so that we stay on a topic. We can get off topic sometimes which is easy to do when your chatting with friends. This recipe is todays post. Its my favorite pie recipe, so easy and yummy. I used From My Kitchen and Indie Art carts for the layout.

And, I even made one after getting strawberries at Pezzini Farms when we visited Mom this last weekend. It was beautiful on Sunday after a gloomy week. The pie was delicious!

Gift Basket

Ha, you probably thought this was going to be "2nd Post", didnt ya? I made this basket, yes I did make it, using scraps. The directions can be found at SplitcoastStampers. They are a bit confusing but it was very easy to do. I really enjoy making cards and scrapbooking but sometimes I like to explore other ways to use paper in crafting. I used my Paisley cart for the charms hanging from the side. Im going to use the basket to hold a scarf I made for a friend.

1st Post

I decided to take my own advice and start a blog. This blog will be mainly for my family to visit so that I can share my crafts with them. And, because it is my blog, I will probably be sharing more than just my obsession with papercrafting. Such as cooking, pictures, and grandchildren. Sisters Dear, I know you love Facebook but I hate it, MJ knows what Im talking about. You know how hard that kind of thing is for me, this may not be any better. We will see.
